The French Legation Museum. The home was built during the fall of 1840. The King Louis Philippe of France officially recognized the Republic of Texas and named Alphonse DUBOIS de SALIGNY, as "chargé d'affaires" to the Republic

Le Fort Alamo et l'Association des Filles de la République du Texas. La bataille opposant les Texans aux Mexicains dura 12 jours ( du 23 février au 6 mars 1836 ). L'Alamo est le symbole du patriotisme et de l'héroïsme des hommes qui sont morts pour la libération du Texas

The Alamo and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas. The battle opposed the Texians ( William B. TRAVIS, the commander of the Alamo ) to the Mexicans ( General Antonio LOPEZ de Santa Anna's army ) and lasted 12 days. The Alamo is a place where men made the ultimate sacrifice of Texas Liberty
